At the Real Life Research Institute, we approach mental health
as a community-driven and holistic issue, shaped by culture,
connection, and everyday realities in Nunavut. We focus on
practical, locally grounded approaches that strengthen
well-being, reduce isolation, and promote inclusion across
communities.
Our work brings together community-based mental health support,
harm reduction, and culturally grounded programming, with
attention to the diverse needs of youth, women, families, and
vulnerable groups. We recognize the importance of addressing
the broader conditions that affect mental health, including
social connection, access to services, and community
environments.
